The
Village Hall is very much the community centre of the village, having been built
on the recreation ground in 1953 by the villagers to commemorate the Coronation
of Queen Elizabeth II, and refurbished during the years since.
The hall provides a meeting place for activities organised by local clubs and groups including the WI, UNIT (United Neighbours In Tiddington) a second women’s group, ballroom dancing and the village hall committee.
A flourishing cricket club, with three adult teams playing in the local league and junior teams and training, has it’s own clubhouse with bar and a picturesque cricket pitch. The local pub organises entertainment such as Aunt Sally and quiz nights.
The recreation ground has an exciting play area for young children, rebuilt in 2000 to celebrate the Millennium it features a castle, swings and other challenging equipment!
